History: Out of A Garden is a two year old company; however, the idea of creating the best wholesome, nutritional, tasty, vegan veggie filet began over 25 years ago in California.
Sourcing: We use an extensive variety of fresh vegetables, organic tofu and tamari, and whole grains, including organic corn grits from Breakneck Acres in Ravenna.
Methods: Each variety of filet is handmade and takes two days to complete the process with chopping, cooking, mixing, forming, baking, and individually freezing each filet, and eventually, packaging.
Fun Facts: We named our products “filets”, rather than patties, because “filet” denotes the best. It’s better than a pattie, it’s a filet!
Our production kitchen is located in the Federal Building in Akron where everything is scanned!
