Whipple Farm

People: Mary and Gary Whipple and Erin Whipple.

Products: Mostly cut flowers and herbs with a few vegetables. 

Farm History: The farm used to be a hay field and still grows some hay. We started growing flowers in a small section which now grows a little each year.

Soil: Good basic soil amended with the help of our angora rabbits.

Water Use: The only water we use is natural rain water and a little we carry in during dry spells.

Weed Control: Natural controlled weeding and mulch.

Pest Control: Row covers and hand picking. Limited organic products and row covers.

Fun Facts: Gary often volunteers at the market as a photographer.
