Spice Acres

Spice Acres is managed by Ben Bebenroth, chef/owner of Cleveland's Spice Kitchen + Bar and Spice of Life Catering Co, and farm manager Andrea Heim.

The farm’s picturesque acreage is located within the northern crest of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park bordering the Cleveland Metroparks Brecksville Reservation. Sustainable growing practices are prioritized to protect the surrounding eco-system; methods like rotational grazing and cover cropping are used to build soil nutrition, while family compost and restaurant leftovers supplement animal feed to close the loop on the food system.


2018 Spice Acres Farm Share

Connect to the ebb of the seasons and the source of your food with a share of the harvest from our sustainable family farm in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Spice Acres strives to connect the community to the source of its food, and make it easy to prepare fresh, local, and healthy meals each week. Take home the season’s bounty with our farm share. Enjoy just-picked produce, farm fresh eggs, fresh-cut flowers, and wholesome pantry items from the culinary team at Spice Kitchen + Bar. We’ve put together a farm share that promises to deepen your connection to your food and celebrate the beauty in each turn of the season, and we can’t wait to share it with you!


  • 11 dozen fresh eggs: every odd week, starting week 3
  • 12 Spice Pantry items: every even week + week 23 (preserves, pickles, jams, ferments, sauces, etc.)
  • 13 bouquets of fresh flowers
  • 5-6 items of nutrient-dense produce each week for 23 weeks, with a variety of 50+ crops from vegetables to fruit to herbs
  • 1 lb. of Spice Acres honey in your final share

What to Expect:

  • Herbs nearly every week
  • Seasonal fruits (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples, watermelon, ground cherries) *Some may be purchased from other local growers to offer greater variety 
  • 5-6 vegetables each week (greens, root vegetables, beans, peppers, tomatoes, squash, + more)
  • Weekly recipes and tips on how to best enjoy your share from the culinary team at Spice Kitchen + Bar
  • High quality, sustainably grown produce that's packed with nutrients and flavor, and longer lasting

Note: Mother Nature treats us quite well, but throws the occasional curveball. Farm share contents may vary as we adapt to what each week’s harvest offers. Being responsive to nature is part of the fun of the farm share!

Duration: June 15th – November 16th (23 weeks)
