Countryside Farmers’ Market’s annual Tomato Tasting will return to Howe Meadow on Saturday, August 29th from 9am-noon. For the 9th consecutive year, the event will feature over 30 varieties of locally grown tomatoes that customers can sample. The tomatoes will be cut up and ready to taste in a center booth so that market goers of all ages can explore the variety of flavors and find their favorite. “This event is especially fun for kids,” says Beth Knorr, Markets Manager. “The huge variety of colors, shapes, and sizes is exciting for them and a great way to expand their palates.” All sampled varieties will be available for purchase from local vendors at the market.
Chef Anthony Scolaro from One Eleven Bistro in Medina will be on hand demonstrating some unique tomato-centric recipes. Live music will be provided by traditional folk band One String Short.
