The Morris farm is a sixth generation dairy, today the farm is composed of pasture for grazing, plus corn, oats, and hay for winter feed. The cows are still milked in the same barn that my family bought in 1860 with its large hand-hewn beams. The Holstein herd averages around 40 cows which are grass-fed Spring through Fall. We use responsible farming practices with NO use of growth or milk production hormones. In 2007 with a desire to be raise their boys at home couple finally decided to diversify their dairy business and build a creamery building to make and sell specialty cheeses. On a regular weekly basis they began producing, several specialty cheeses including ricotta, a tasty smooth cream cheese, and Petit Suisse dessert cheese. Today they sell handmade cheese to local farmers markets, West Point Market, Thirty Dog Brewing co. and several chefs and restaurant owners in Cuyahoga County area.
