Chuck Rankin, Treasurer
Chuck was born and spent his early childhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, then went to high school in Cleveland, Ohio. Chuck received both a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University, specializing in thermodynamics. After graduate school, he was involved in high temperature thermal engine research using appropriate alternative energy sources varying from rice hulls in Bangladesh to nuclear isotopes in space. In 1980, Chuck shifted into the manufacturing sector, ultimately establishing a partnership with which he is still involved. Chuck's company, Alcon Tool, Inc, manufactures an array of tooling components ranging from blades used to slice and dice food to pivot pins for dirt moving equipment and specialty tools used to manufacture musical instruments.
Chucks owns and operates a 150 acre farm in Medina, Ohio, where he raises grass fed lamb and organic hay. He is happily married to Kathleen; and they have four adult children and four grandchildren. He and Kathleen have been active members of St. Luke’s Anglican Church of Akron, Ohio for over 25 years where Chuck is involved in leadership on the mission committee, in house church (small group), and mentoring of a number of young people.
