Insuring Your Farm Business (Risk Management)
An in depth discussion of the legal, production and marketing risks faced by today’s small / niche farmers, coupled with use of a matrix to determine which of those risks identified in each of the three categories should be retained, avoided or transferred. Ohio Livestock Care Standards Discussion
On April 10, 2012 we will be hosting a discussion ,led by the Ohio Department of Agriculture, about the new livestock care standards. All livestock producers should attend. These standards apply to small scale producers as well as large scale. For example, did you know that the standards require anyone who owns or has responsibility for or of poultry to catch, lift, and move the birds humanely? Find out more and how at this meeting.
