We connect communities and farmers, provide alternate market choices, and create venues that foster civic engagement through fun and informal education.
The Countryside Farmers' Markets (CFM) are unique, producers-only farmers' markets established and managed by the Countryside Conservancy (CC). Our markets are also unique in that they are situated in remarkable locations: Howe Meadow in Peninsula, nestled in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park; Highland Square, a thriving urban, walkable community in West Akron; and in the winter we are found indoors at Old Trail School, a private school within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park that emphasizes sustainability throughout their curriculum.

Alternative Payment Methods
Countryside Farmers' Markets proudly accepts Ohio Direction Cards, as well as debit cards at each of our market locations. There is a $1.50 fee associated with debit (ATM) token purchases to help cover the cost of the machine and transactions.
Additionally, thanks to the generous support of Wholesome Wave, we are implementing a "Countryside Carrot Cash" program. Ohio Direction Card shoppers will be able to increase their fruit and vegetable purchasing power when shopping at Countryside Farmers' Markets. We will be matching, dollar for dollar - up to $20 - on every Ohio Direction Card purchase throughout the 2011-2012 Winter Markets and the 2012 market season.
No Pets at the Market, Please
While we love our furry friends, there is a "No Dogs Allowed" policy within the Countryside Farmers' Markets. Howe Meadow is a great place for dogs, however, and we encourage you to take them for a romp in the vast spaces outside of the market itself. Or, hop across the street to the Towpath Trail and have a nice hike with your four-legged friend. Keep in mind that the Cuyahoga Valley National Park requires that dogs be kept on leashes at all times.
