The Countryside Farmers' Markets are funded in part by the generous support of:
Old Trail School

We connect communities and farmers, provide alternate market choices, and create venues that foster civic engagement through fun and informal education.

The Countryside Farmers' Markets (CFM) are unique, producers-only farmers' markets established and managed by the Countryside Conservancy (CC).  Our markets are also unique in that they are situated in remarkable locations: Howe Meadow in Peninsula, nestled in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park; Highland Square, a thriving urban, walkable community in West Akron; and in the winter we are found indoors at Old Trail School, a private school within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park that emphasizes sustainability throughout their curriculum.

2013 Summer Market Dates

Opening Day for our outdoor markets is just around the corner!  Join us on May 11th for the opening day at Howe Meadow, and on May 30th for opening day at Highland Square.  Check the bar at left for details!

Vendors and Products

What products are you likely to find at the Countryside Farmers' Markets?  Click over to our vendor profile page to see what farmers and food producers are participating and what they intend to bring, or check out our Harvest Calendar to see what products you can expect to find in Northeast Ohio in any given month of the year.

Alternative Payment Methods

Countryside Farmers' Markets proudly accepts Ohio Direction Cards, as well as debit cards at each of our market locations. There is a $1.50 fee associated with debit (ATM) token purchases to help cover the cost of the machine and transactions.

No Pets at the Market, Please

While we love our furry friends, there is a "No Dogs Allowed" policy within the Countryside Farmers' Markets.   Howe Meadow is a great place for dogs, however, and we encourage you to take them for a romp in the vast spaces outside of the market itself.  Or, hop across the street to the Towpath Trail and have a nice hike with your four-legged friend.  Keep in mind that the Cuyahoga Valley National Park requires that dogs be kept on leashes at all times.
