Happy 10th Anniversary to our Countryside Farmers' Markets!

We are thrilled to be celebrating 10 years of connecting farmers, food producers, the delicious products they grow and make, with our surrounding local communities. We will be hosting a series of fun-filled festivities to commemorate our beginnings, acknowledge our growth and look to the future.

August 23rd - Tomato Tasting & Salsa Smackdown!

This incredibly popular event is returning for it's 8th year.  Our farmers grow an amazing variety of tomatoes- some years upwards of 130!  This event helps you find a favorite by making roughly 30 varieties (or as many as our growers have that day) of samples available to market goers.  Paired with an information sheet to help you discern best uses for each variety and which growers are producing them, not only can you find your favorite, you can let the vendors know what you love.
The Salsa Smackdown is featuring Countryside Farmers' Market vendors willing to put their recipes on the line in the name of some good-natured fun. Come sample and vote on your favorite salsa to crown this year's winner.

October 4th - Squash Tasting

Get a taste of that squash!  Acorn and butternut are staples on many family tables, but have you tried Delicata? What about Hubbard, Sunshine, or Musque de Provence?  Learn how these squashes differ and how they can help see you through winter with a table full of local food. Sample them prepared simply as well as in a recipe or two.
